Proposed mixed-use project, in the core of the Ridgeside development
(for which ASM is the urban designer).
The project comprises 80,000sq.m of retail, office and residential
accommodation fronting a major new urban piazza on a prominent
Umhlanga Ridge site. The building integrates with the proposed
urban fabric through a series of open courts over a large retail
podium.
The project, developed in association with leading architectural
practices, explores a new concept in retail development extending
across centrally located sites. This mixed use development takes
advantage of the slope and creates new possibilities for a “live,
work and play” experience in a novel urban context.
