Appointed, as part of a consortium, by the eThekwini Municipality to prepare a Precinct Plan for the existing Umhlanga Node.

The Precinct Plan defines the desirable development direction of the node, and recommends a range of public realm projects to foster new relationships between the public and private realms. It aims to create a legible urban environment centred on the beach promenade, which affords views of the sea and access to the beach, and the back of beach public spine, which provides a range of public spaces from a community-based soft park at the northern end to a public event space centrally located close to the commercial activities.
