Appointed by eThekwini Municipality, as part of a consortium, to prepare an urban design framework and design guidelines to inform the regeneration of Warner Beach and enhance its potential to become a tourism destination of choice and a renewed and unique urban environment. Warner beach comprises a strip of coastline with a number of beaches and an estuary all with potential for enhanced offerings to tourists.

The urban design framework identified precincts representing zones of intense activity where development intervention was targeted. The focus was to improve the environmental and physical conditions of these zones to promote the regeneration of the beachfront facilities and create a prime tourist and holiday destination while improving the sustainability and liveability of the town.
